Installer Menu Options
Disabled
The control unit stops transmitting data to all the Info Modules
Enabled
The control unit carries on transmitting to the Info Module.
The default setting for this menu option is Disabled. The control unit changes the setting to
Enabled when you teach an Info Module the control unit's identity.
Enabling the Ready to Set LED
The Info Module possesses a LED that glows when the alarm system is NOT ready to set
(for example, because a detector is reporting an alarm). To disable or enable this LED
select Detectors/Devices – Info Module - Ready-to-Set LED. The available options are:
Enabled
The control unit carries on using the Ready to Set LED on the Info Module.
Disabled
The control unit stops using the Ready to Set LED the Info Module.

WAMs

30 40 50 160
Each control unit in the i-onEX range can learn the maximum number given on page 9.
Although the WAM provides five different modes, when working with an i-onEX range
control unit only mode 1, repeater module, is relevant. The installer must select the
repeater mode when commissioning the WAM hardware.
Note: i-on40 Release 4 uses WAMs as repeaters only.
When working as a repeater module the WAM repeats the signals from any detectors
within its range, amplifying them to a level that the control unit can detect. This allows you
to increase the area covered by radio detectors.
Naming WAMs
Use the Edit WAM option to give each WAM a meaningful name. The name can be up to
12 characters long.

Outputs

The control unit provides three different sets of outputs:
Dedicated Bell and Strobe outputs.
Plug-by outputs.
Hardwired outputs.
(See the relevant Installation Guide for the position of connectors.)
See "System Capacities" on page 9 for a list of the number of outputs provided directly by
each control unit pcb.
30 50 160 In addition to the outputs wired directly into the control unit, expanders
also provide outputs:
Each wired expander provides 4 outputs on its PCB.
Radio expanders each provide 8 radio output channels.
When fitted to any of the i-on control units a KEY-KPZ01 keypad also provides a single
wired output
The hardwired outputs on the control unit, expanders (together with the radio outputs on
the expanders) and KEY-KPZ01 can be programmed as any of the output types listed on
page 66.
