4. Select the [Calibrate...] button at the bottom of the screen.
5. Within the text fields, ensure the Color Group and Stock Name
are correct.
6. Select the halftone for which you are calibrating.
NOTE: If you intend to use several halftone profiles, you will need
to complete this process for each of the desired halftones.
7. Select [1. Print Target...].
8. Select a quantity to print using the spin box.
NOTE: The default quantity is 5 copies.
9. Select [OK].
10. When the Information screen appears, select [OK]. The target
will print.
11. Select [2. Properties...].
12. Type a new profile name in the text field.
13. If desired, type a description.
14. Under "Options," select whether the profile will:
Apply To All Halftones
Apply Only To Selected Halftone
15. Select [OK].
16. Select [3. Measure...].
17. Select [Begin] and follow the on-screen prompts as the X-rite
Spectrophotometer scans a series of strips on the test target.
A set of Tonal Reproduction Curves (TRCs) are generated.
18. When all strips have been scanned, select [OK] when the
"Calibration Complete" message pops up.
19. The results of the scan will be displayed on the System
Calibration window for each color channel TRC for the current
state of the system. Each color channel can be viewed alone
by selecting the associated check box. Each TRC is
associated with the stock and up to five different TRCs can be
stored for calibration.
NOTE: Selecting [Close] will terminate the calibration process.
Selecting [Revert] will allow you to select a previously created
calibration TRC. Selecting [Accept...] will change the system
operation to the newly created TRC. Selecting [Start Over] will
start the calibration process from the beginning.
20. After Accepting the calibration data, select [OK] in the Accept
Calibration Data screen to close the dialog.
21. Select [OK] to close the information dialog.
22. Select [Close] to exit the calibration dialog.
23. Select [Yes] to answer the question dialog. Within the Color
