NOTE: When creating a queue to be used for lp/lpr printing,
the queue name must be limited to 14 characters. A queue
name longer than 14 characters will not be visible to the lp/lpr
gateway. This is a limitation of the gateway.
NOTE: The Printer Name is read only. It contains the name of
the connected printer.
4. Select a quantity to indicate the number of job sets that will be
printed for all jobs sent to this queue unless a different quantity
is specified in the job, itself. Select a number between 1 and
65,500.
Select [Override] if you want the Quantity setting to take
precedence over programming associated with individual jobs.
5. Set a priority between 1 (highest priority) and 100 (lowest
priority) for the queue. The default priority setting is 50.
Each queue for the printer is assigned a priority. The priority
tells the system the order in which the queues should be
processed. All jobs in the queue with the highest priority are
processed before jobs in queues with lower priorities. If a
priority is not set, a default priority of 50 is assigned to the
queue when it is created. If more than one queue has the
same priority, the queues are processed in repeating
succession.
6. If desired, make extended option selections using the following
tabs:
The Settings tab: The Settings tab contains queue
properties FABs.
The Stock Tab: Select the queue default paper stock.
The Output Tab: Allows you to select queue output options.
The Image Edit Tab: Presents features that allow original
images to be modified for output.
The Image Quality Tab: Contains features that enable you
enable to set functions that enhance the quality of the
printed image based on the type of file being printed and
the fonts being used. See also, Setting Color Image
Quality Options for a Queue for additional information.
The PDL Settings Tab: Select decomposer (processing)
options.
NOTE: If you do not have a valid PostScript license on the
system, you will not see PostScript in the list of format
options.
7. Select [Copy Queue] to complete the copy queue setup.
8. Select [Close] to exit the Copy Queue dialog
9. In the Queue list, right-click the copied queue and choose
[Accept Jobs] to enable the queue for job processing.
