provides support for IPX/SPX over Ethernet 802.2, Ethernet ll, and
Ethernet 802.3 frame types. The gateway requires the gateway
protocol and network numbers to be configured manually.
The System Administrator needs to configure the NetWare
Gateway and then configure the Queue Server component of the
NetWare Gateway for either an NDS or a Bindery connection.
The IPX/SPX protocol supports streaming to a queue with an
Input value set to Stream.

The Queue Server component of the NetWare Gateway
occupies a connection on a NetWare Server where it monitors
a specific NetWare print queue for jobs. Jobs are submitted
from NetWare clients to a printer queue to a NetWare Server.
Once a job is received by the NetWare print queue, the queue
server pulls the job to the controller for processing and
printing.
Setting up the Netware Server
NDS - Set up a Print Server object, Print Queue object, and
Printer object in the appropriate Context (NDS Tree) using
NetWare Administrator, NetAdmin, or PCONSOLE. Refer to the
documentation supplied by Novell (www.novell.com) to complete
this task. For later use in setting up the printer, record precisely
(observing upper and lower case, dot notation, etc.) the following
items used in setting up objects on the server: NDS Tree, NDS
Context Name, Print Server name, Print Server password. Note
that if the printer services queues on multiple file servers, the Print
Server name and password must be the same on all the file
servers.
Bindery - Set up a Print Server, Queue, and Printer Configuration
on the Primary (File) Server using PCONSOLE. Refer to the
documentation supplied by Novell (www.novell.com) to complete
this task. For later use in setting up the printer, record precisely
(observing upper and lower case, punctuation, etc.) the following
items: the File (Primary) Server name, Print Server name, Print
Server password, and the Queue name assigned. Note that if the
printer services queues on multiple file servers, the Print Server
name and password must be the same on all the file servers.
Setting the Frame Type and Novell Net Number
To set the Frame type and Novell Net Number:
1. Logon to the DocuSP Controller as a System Administrator.
2. From the Setup menu, select [Gateways...].
3. Select the NetWare tab.
