The Finishing tab enables you to set up internal or external
finishing devices, create finishing profiles, enable or disable
finishing profiles, and import and export profiles. Your ability to
access these features is determined by the System Administrator.
The Finishing tab contains the following fields:
• Internal Finishers: The internal finishing devices covered in
this section include the stitcher and the binder.
– Name: Shows the name of the binder and/or stitcher.
– Status: Indicates whether the finisher is enabled or
disabled.
• External Finishers: External finishing options include any
DFA level 1-compliant finishers that can be attached to the
printer. If the printer is not configured with an external finisher
this field is not available.
– Profile Name: Finisher profiles contain the configuration
settings of the finishing device that control different
capabilities of the finisher.
– Status: Indicates whether the finisher is enabled or
disabled.
– Online: Indicates whether the finisher is online or offline.
– Device Name: Shows the name of the external finisher.
The Finishing tab menus consist of Internal Finisher, External
Finisher, and View. You can access finisher menus by either
selecting the Internal Finisher and External Finisher pull-down
menus, by right-clicking on a listed finisher, or using the toolbar.
• Internal Finisher menu:
– Properties: View and edit internal finisher properties.
– Enable: Enables the selected finisher.
– Disable: Disables the selected finisher.
– Select All: Highlights all finishers.
– Clear All: Deselects all the finishers which are highlighted.
• External Finisher menu:
– Finishing Transport Module settings: presents output
height, output registration, and output exit velocity settings.
