2. Click [Close] to exit the dialog window.
This feature enables the System Administrator to install and
manage software and hardware.
Using the Software Install feature
To use the software install feature:
1. From the System menu select [Software Install...].
2. Select from the following:
a. Install: Select to install software modules needed to run
the system, a new software service, or new hardware.
i. From the Install From field choose the installation file
location.
ii. Use CD Drive: Installs the service from a CD.
iii. Specify File Location: Select to use the file system
directory for locating the installation file.
iv. Select [Browse...].
v. Select the file location from the Look In pull-down
menu.
vi. Select the installation file from the directory.
vii. Select a file type from the Files of Type menu.
viii. Once the correct file name displays, select [Next>>] to
continue installation procedures.
ix. Select the module to be installed. If desired, select [Set
to current version].
x. Select [Install] to complete the installation process.
b. Manage Releases: Displays information about installed
modules. The System Administrator can view the
installation log, set the software version, and uninstall
modules.
3. Click [Close] to exit the dialog window.
4. Click [Yes] to confirm your action.
Data overwrite is a licensable feature that enhances system
security by allowing you to protect data from being retrieved off
your hard drive after it has been deleted.
