Printer Manager
The Printer Manager enables the System Administrator to access
the printer's features and manage functions of the printer,
particularly as they apply to paper stock specifications, finishers,
and tray programming.
The Printer Manager window is divided into a series of tabs which
enable you to control the setup and operations of the printer. The
tabs typically include Paper Tray, Stock Library, Finishing,
Stacking, and Image Quality.
The Content Menu consists of pull-down menus and toolbar icons.
The menus available depend on the tab selected. Toolbar icons
are used to access the following frequently used features.
NOTE: To rearrange printer data column headings (tray, summary,
etc.), select a column heading and drag it to the desired location
within the row.
Printer Manager contains tabs designed to adjust printer
properties and expedite printing. The Printer Manager GUI
displays the following tabs:
• The Paper Trays Tab: shows the status and condition of all the
paper trays, as well as characteristics of the stocks assigned
to them. The columns show the properties of the stocks and
the specifications that have been made for the trays.
• Stock Setup using the Stock Library tab: enables you to define
attributes for a stock.
• The Finishing Tab: use this tab to set up or enable the
available internal or external finishing options. Right-clicking
on a finisher allows you to enable or disable a finisher or
display its properties.
• The Stacking Tab: allows you to enable and disable the offset
stacker. It also allows you to view and control settings for all
stackers present on your system.
• The Image Quality tab: access this tab to modify the printer
darkness/IQ parameters for PostScript/PDF jobs, PCL jobs,
and TIFF jobs.
