Printing system configuration information
You may print information from each tab within the System
Configuration tabset.
To print information from the tabs:
1. Select [System Configuration...] from the DocuSP Setup
menu.
2. Select the Peripherals, General, Printer, Devices, Network, or
Software tabs.
3. Select the [Print] button.
4. A dialog will appear. Select the desired queue from the pull-
down menu.
5. Select [OK]. The job is submitted to the queue.
Use the Open PrePress Interface to replace low-resolution proxy
images with high-resolution images when the job is decomposed.
This is useful because low-resolution images transmit much
quicker than high-resolution jobs from the client to the controller.
Once received, the controller can then access the high-resolution
image during decomposition to be used for print.
The repository may reside on the network and may be accessed
via a network mount point, or it may reside on an external hard
drive mounted by DocuSP. Such a drive will generally have better
transfer performance than a traditional network drive point, as the
SCSI transfer rate is faster than the network transfer rate.
OPI can be enabled at the queue level or at the job level; the
following procedure is provided to enable you to set the path to
your image repository.
NOTE: This is only available for PostScript and data streams.
NOTE: If you do not have a valid PostScript license, the system
does not process PostScript jobs.
Using Open PrePress Interface
