NOTE: Depending on the size of the retained jobs and the
size of the internal hard drive on your system, a lower
value may be more appropriate. Users employing the
setretainPDL utility should be aware that disk capacity
monitoring is the responsibility of the end user.
Time Period: Select the radio button to enter the
amount of time you want to have jobs retained in the
Completed Jobs tab. You can select from [Hours] or
[Days]. The default setting is 24 Hours or 1 Day. If you
want to retain jobs for an unlimited period of time, do
not select this option. Jobs will be removed from the
system when the maximum the Time Period elapses or
the Maximum % Spool Capacity value is reached.
NOTE: Time Period can only be used for streamed jobs. It
does not apply to spooled jobs. If your jobs are streamed,
then you must use the [Number of Jobs] option.
b. Select [Yes] to restart immediately. If you select [No] your
settings are not applied.
6. Select the appropriate Partitioning option to specify how the
system manages the internal disk capacity assigned to hold
jobs that have been processed and are ready for printing. This
partition is referred to as the OutQ.
NOTE: You are required to restart the system after making
changes in Job Completion Options. Select [Yes] to restart
immediately. If you select [No] your settings will not be applied.

Partitioning Options
Off: Disables the ability of the controller to break the
job into smaller pieces. If the job is too big for the
partition, the job is faulted or rendered ineligible and
the user must resubmit the job in smaller pieces.
Large Partitions: Creates a large partition to allow
large jobs to be printed before the system requires the
job to be broken into smaller pieces to prevent disk
saturation. If the partition is filled by a single job, the
controller prints the portion ready for printing and
switches to the small partition configuration to print the
remainder of the job. The printed output consists of a
large portion of the job followed by one or more smaller
portions of the job.
Small Partitions: Creates two small partitions. When
the first partition is full, the job begins printing while the
job continues to be processed by the second partition.
This selection may cause a job to be broken into
smaller portions when it was unnecessary. However,
smaller partitions achieve the maximum performance
should jobs require being broken into smaller portions
