Setting up Data Overwrite on your system
To set up data overwrite:
1. In the main GUI window, select [System: Data Overwrite...].
NOTE: This feature must be licensed on your system in order for it
to appear in the System menu.
2. Within the Data Overwrite window, select from the following
options:
Use Fast Mode
Display Verbose Messages
Partition List (Separate Partitions with Semicolons)
When this box is checked, the text box becomes active,
allowing you to type in which disk partitions you wish to
overwrite.
Exclude Partitions (Separate Partitions with Semicolons)
When this box is checked, the text box becomes active,
allowing you to type in which disk partitions you wish to protect
from the overwrite operation.
3. Select [OK]. Depending whether you have active jobs in a
queue, one of two things will happen next:
a. If there ARE active jobs in a queue, you will receive a
warning dialog that states "Active jobs will be deleted. Are
you sure you want to overwrite data?" If so, click [OK] or
[Cancel], as desired. Proceed to step b.
b. If there are NO active jobs in a queue, OR if you have
already clicked [OK] as part of step a, another warning will
appear. This one says:
Data overwrite will:
(1) Delete all jobs in the system
(2) Erase job database and accounting log
(3) Purge all log files
(4) Restart the system
The system will be offline for approximately x minutes.
Are you sure you want to overwrite data?"
4. Click [OK] to start the overwrite process, or [Cancel] if you do
not wish to continue the overwrite process. The system will
perform the action and restart automatically.
Diagnostics is primarily reserved for the Service Representative.
However, if there is a problem with the printer, the Diagnostics
