Install the riser assembly to the node
Follow instructions in this section to install the riser assembly to the node.

CAUTION:
The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the
electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord. To
remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the
power source.
Attention:
• Read "Installation Guidelines" on page 47

• Power off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables. See
"Power off the server" on page
• Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the
server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.

Procedure
Step 1. If bottom M.2 cabled adapter is installed, make sure the cables of bottom M.2 cabled adapter are
connected to the system board properly. See
Step 2. Connect the riser assembly cables.
Note: If necessary, remove the memory modules from DIMM slot 3 and 4 for easier operation. See
"Remove a memory module" on page
