The description Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode command
adds a description to an interface. Use the no form of this command to remove the
description.

— A comment or a description of the port to allow the user to
remember the purpose of the interface. (Range: 1-64 characters)
Default Configuration
The interface does not have a description.

The following example adds a description to Ethernet port e5.
