OSPF Default Information Originate Settings
This window is used to configure the OSPF Default Information Originate settings.
To view the following window, click L3 Features > OSPF > OSPFv2 > OSPF Default Information Originate
Settings, as shown below:

Description
Enter the host's IP address used.
Enter a metric between 1 and 65535, which will be advertised.
Enter a 32-bit number in the form of an IP address (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) that uniquely
identifies the OSPF area in the OSPF domain.

Description
Select the originate option here. Options to choose from are Always, Default, and None.
Select the metric type here. Options to choose from are:
Type-1: Calculates the metric (for other routing protocols to OSPF) by adding the
destination's interface cost to the metric entered in the Metric field.
Type-2: Uses the metric entered in the Metric field without change. This field applies only
when the destination field is OSPF. If the metric type is not specified, it will be type 2.
Enter the metric value here. This value must be between 1 and 65535.
