REMOVAL PROCEDURE
- Place car on a lifting ramp, and raise lifting
ramp.

Remove

from under vehicle,
- Unlock
and
remove flexible joint fasteni ng
screw.

I NG OPERATIONS
-Fit flexi ble joint
to
end of
steering
rack pinion.
- Use flexible joint to rotate pinion in order to
bring rack again st stop on one si de,
-Tum it by 2
t
turns
in the other direction to
br1ng rack to central point.
- R emove flexible joint, taking care not to alter
the position of the rac k, and re-fit it in the
position shown on Fig. 3, i.e. with the upper
flexible joint
cross-p
in parallel with the
s
teering rack centre-line.
-Place both half-yokes in position on steering
rack.
-Place steering rack in position, tighten the 4
fastening screws.
