Configuring Interfaces

T1(with built-in CSU/DSU) Interfaces

Configuring a T1 Interface for Cisco HDLC
1. Click C
2. Click the Interfaces link.
3. Click the physical interface link you want to configure in the P
column.

If you're connecting to a device or system that does not provide a clock
source, set I
clocking for T1 is fixed at 1.544Mbps. To configure slower speeds, you
must configure fractional T1 on the Advanced T1 CSU/DSU Options
page.

Full duplex is the normal mode of operation.
6. Click the AMI or B8ZS radio button in the T1 E
the T1 encoding, then click A
This setting must match the line encoding of the CSU/DSU at the other
end of the point-to-point link.

Use T1 framing to divide the data stream into 64Kbps channels and to
synchronize with the remote CSU/DSU. This setting must match the
frame format used by the CSU/DSU at the other end of the point-to-point
link.
