Troubleshooting the Installation
This section will allow you to perform basic troubleshooting of the installation. If you are
unable to solve the problem after following the procedures in this chapter, please contact
Avaya Technical Support. Refer to "How to Contact Us" for full details.

Problem/Cause
Switch does not power up
AC power cord not inserted or
faulty
If the cord is inserted correctly, check that the AC power source is working by
connecting a different device in place of the W310 WLAN Gateway.
If that device works, refer to the next step.
If that device does not work, check the AC power
W310 AC power supply not
functioning
Connected device does not receive power from switch
Device connected is not a PD,
such as a computer
(PWR LED blinks)
PD not connected properly
(PWR LED blinks)
PD not compatible
(PWR LED blinks)

Troubleshooting
Suggested Solution
Check that the AC power cord is inserted
correctly
Replace the power cord
Use an optional BUPS (Backup Power
Supply)
Contact your local Avaya distributor. The
power supply is not user-replaceable.
Check that the cable to the PD is inserted
correctly
