Next you will bind the policy list to the Access Point Group assigned to each W110
(LAP) port. For example, when a packet arrives from the W110 (ingress) to the W310 or
to the W110 (egress) from the W310, the packet is checked against the policy list that is
bound to the Access Point Group of that W110 port.

Step 8: Define Access Point Groups

Create an AP Group interface.
W310-1 (super)#interface AP-Group <group_name>

— <group_name> creates a name for the AP Group. You can use up to 32 characters
for the name.
Example:
W310-1 (super)#interface AP-Group public-aps
W310-1 (super/AP-Group public-aps)#
b.
Assign the policies to the AP Group.
W310-1 (super/AP-Group name)#ip active-policy-list <list>
<in | out>
where:
— <list> specifies the policy list that is active for this AP interface and direction.
— <in | out> specifies whether the policy is going into (in) the AP group from the
network or out from the AP Group to the network.
Example:
W310-1 (super/AP-Group public-aps)#ip active-policy-list
301 in
W310-1 (super/AP-Group public-aps)#ip active-policy-list
302 out
W310-1 (super/AP-Group public-aps)#ip active-policy-list
