General LAP CLI Configuration Parameters

The configuration parameters that you can set for the LAP are as follows:
Note: When using the CLI to configure the LAP, you must be in LAP context mode to use
any of the parameters listed below.
In order to...
For LAP name and location:
Set the name for the LAP
Change the existing name for the LAP.
By default the LAP name uses the port
number to identify it, for example,
port-01, port-02, etc. You can change it
to a more identifiable string, such as
lobby, engineering, etc.
Set or change the identifier for the LAP
location. This is the actual physical
location of the LAP.
Display the parameters for specified or
all LAPs connected to the W310 ,
including:
• LAP name, location, description,
and up time.
• Physical port number on the W310
to which the LAP is connected
• Hardware, software, original and
upgraded bootloader, and
configuration file versions
• AP group name and parameters
For LAP Template:
Set the name for the LAP template
