Usage Restriction

When a SFF/SFP GBIC transceiver is inserted in the module but is not in use, the
Tx and Rx ports should be protected with an optical connector or a dust plug.

Installation

Installing and Removing a SFF/SFP GBIC Transceiver

Caution: Use only 3.3V Avaya-authorized SFF/SFP GBIC transceivers.
Use only SFF/SFP GBIC transceivers that are 3.3V and use Serial Identification.
The SFF/SFP GBIC transceiver is fastened using a snap-in clip.
To Install the SFF/SFP GBIC transceiver:
Insert the transceiver (take care to insert it the right way up) until it clicks in place.
Refer to
GBIC transceiver.
To Remove the SFF/SFP GBIC transceiver:

Press the clip on the bottom side of the transceiver.

Pull the transceiver out.
