Parameters
packet-size: Maximum size of each join/prune message in bytes, with an effective range of 100 to
64000.
Description
Use jp-pkt-size to configure the maximum size of each join/prune message.
Use undo jp-pkt-size to restore the default.
By default, the maximum size of each join/prune message is 8100 bytes.
If IPv6 PIM snooping–enabled switches are deployed in the IPv6 PIM network, be sure to set a value no
greater than the IPv6 path MTU for the maximum size of each join/prune message on the receiver-side
edge IPv6 PIM devices.
