Error Message
The secondary data volume is already
in use by another system.
The emulation type of the primary data
volume is not supported by Continuous
Access Journal or Continuous Access
Journal Z.
The specified secondary data volume is
online.
An internal error occurred.
One side of the cache or the shared
memory is blocked in the primary
storage system.
An unexpected error occurred in the
primary subsystem.
The secondary data volume is unusable,
or the emulation type of the secondary
data volume is not supported by
Continuous Access Journal or Continuous
Access Journal Z.
The cache in the primary subsystem is
automatically recovering.
The primary data volume is already used
by Compatible XRC.
One side of the cache or the shared
memory is blocked in the secondary
storage system.
Recommended Action
Check whether the secondary data
volume in the remote storage system,
which are connected from hosts or the
SVP, is in any of the following
conditions:
The secondary data volume is being
used by Dual Copy.
The secondary data volume is being
used by XRC Replication.
The secondary data volume is being
used by PPRC or Remote Copy.
The secondary data volume is being
used by Concurrent Copy.
The access attribute of the secondary
data volume is Read Only.
See the INSTALLATION SECTION and
the OPENPLATFORM SECTION in the
maintenance manual to check if the
device emulation of the primary data
volume is supported.
Check if the secondary data volume is
online. If the secondary data volume is
online, vary the volume offline, then retry
the operation. If the secondary data
volume is connected to a VM system,
vary the volume offline from the VM
system.
Check the SSB log, then contact HP
Technical Support.
Check the status of the cache and the
shared memory in the primary storage
system.
Ensure that the cache and shared
memory is not blocked.
Please contact HP Technical Support.
Check the SSB of the specified
secondary data volume. See the
OPENPLATFORM SECTION in the
maintenance manual to check whether
the device emulation type of the
secondary data volume is supported.
Click [OK] to finish processing. Then
wait a few minutes and retry the
operation.
Select another volume.
Check the status of the cache and the
shared memory in the secondary storage
system.
Ensure that the cache and shared
memory is not blocked.
