The specified volume or other volume(s)
of the same group in the RCU is being
changed to Simplex/Suspend status.
Retry the operation a few minutes later.
The specified R-VOL is not available
according to the attribute of the R-VOL
changed by Data Retention.
At least one of the following is invalid:
M-VOL parameters (CU number,
Port, GID, LUN)
SSID or CU number of the RCU
R-VOL parameters (Port, GID, LUN)
The external volume that is mapped to
an internal volume is connected to the
port.
The specified port is receiving I/O
requests.
An internal error occurred.
An internal error occurred.
The operation failed because the
specified R-VOL was used for XP Flex
Copy.
Failed to create a pair, because the
specified R-VOL is path-defined from

Recommended Action
Refresh the window a few
minutes later, and check the
status of the specified
volume and other volume(s)
of the same group in the
RCU. If it is possible to
perform operations on the
volume(s), retry the
operation.

Verify that the M-VOL
parameters (CU number,
Port, GID, and LUN) are
supported with the RCU
microcode program version.
Verify that the SSID and CU
number of RCU and the
R-VOL parameters (Port,
GID, and LUN) are correct.
If you create a pair by using
a LUSE volume, verify that
two or more CU numbers
coexist in P-VOL and S-VOL.
Specify RCUs of CU Free
when two or more CU
numbers coexist in P-VOL or
S-VOL.
Then, retry the operation
using the correct parameters.
Release the setting of the
external volume, then retry
the operation.
Stop I/O operations, then
retry.
