Check SNC Product Versions
For an updated list of required updates, see "Service and Support" at www.adic.com.
If the ADIC Management Console application is in use, use the Help > About menu in the
ADIC Management Console to determine its software version. If an update is needed,
download the update from www.adic.com and perform the update.
1. To check the firmware version, start the ADIC Management Console and connect to
the SNC. When the initial Tree View appears, choose the SNC and then read the
firmware version from the right-hand panel of the display.
2. Hardware version information is viewed by using the sysVpdShow command from
the service terminal. If your service representative determines that the hardware
version is at issue in your situation, you may need to use the "sysVpdShow or
sysVpdShowAll" command on page 237.
Check Event Log
For information on accessing the Event Log, see "Events" on page 65. Go to Tools >
Events > View Event Log.
When viewing the log, set the viewing level to Warning. A message that looks like:
000001 0185 0d:00h:00m:05s:15t -- NOTICE: LOGGING STARTED
should be in the list. If not, then continue viewing the event log until the start message can
be found in the log. If this start message cannot be found, then use the log message with
the lowest sequence number (the first number on the display line) as the start of the current
log.
