19. From the service port, enter the elTest command.

20. If the test failed, replace the SNC.
• Go to "Preparing for Removal and Replacement of the SNC" on page 154.
• Consult ADIC service personnel.
21. Remove the Ethernet loop back plug.
• From the service terminal, enter the normalBoot command and wait for the SNC
to finish booting.
• Reattach the Ethernet cable to the SNC.
22. From the service terminal, enter the gateAddrGet command and write down the
network gateway address that is displayed.
• Compare this address to the one provided by the network administrator.
• If both addresses are the same, go to step 25.

23. If the network gateway address is incorrect, set it to the value provided by the network
administrator using the gateAddrSet command.
24. From the service terminal, enter the reboot command and wait until the SNC has
finished booting.
25. From the service terminal, use the ping command to PING the IP address of the
ADIC Management Console Server (see step 15).
26. From the host running the ADIC Management Console Server, PING the SNC.
27. If both PING tests succeeded, exit this MAP.
28. If the PING test fails, inform the network administrator to check and correct the
network connection, route tables, and network gateway addresses for both the Scalar
100 and the SNC.
