Removing a PCIe Card

Remove the PCIe card from the PCIe riser connector.

In PCIe card expansion, you do not have to perform this step. Remove the PCIe
card filler from the PCIe riser.
Caution - Do not forcibly remove a PCIe card from a PCIe riser. The use of excessive
force may damage the PCIe card.
Note - Place the removed PCIe card on a grounded antistatic ESD mat.
Note - The PCIe card filler is easily removed. Be careful not to drop it.

Installing a PCIe Card

This section describes the procedure for installing a PCIe card. Use the same
procedure for expansion too. For reduction, install a PCIe card filler instead of a PCIe
card.
