– Secure the electric wire -arrows A- to the selector mechanism
as illustrated.
– Make sure the micro-switch is installed correctly and securely
-B-.
Note
The ignition key removal lock will not function correctly if the mi‐
cro-switch is not inserted correctly or properly secured.
– Install the guide -1- for the emergency release lever opposite
in the direction of -arrow-.
– Shifter mechanism function unit, installing. Refer to
⇒ "4.2 Shift Mechanism Function Unit, Removing and Instal‐
ling", page 42 .

Removing
– Remove the shift gate. Refer to
⇒ "4.4 Shift Gate, Removing and Installing", page 48
– Pry out both left and right bearing bushings -2- with a screw‐
driver.
– Remove the locking lever for "P".
Installing
– Insert the locking lever and secure it with the left and right
bushings -2-.
– Make sure the locking lever is working correctly.
