– Remove the bolts -1, 2 and 3- and pull the ATF pipes off the
transmission.
Note
Depending on the date of manufacture, the ATF pre-heater and
the bolts -2- are not attached to the top of the transmission.
– Seal any open lines and connections with a clean plug from
the -VAS6122- .
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
• Tightening specifications. Refer to
⇒ "9.1 ATF Pipes, ATF Cooler and ATF Pre-Heater",
page 94
Note
Install the ATF pipes for the ATF cooler with clamping connec‐
tions. Refer to
⇒ "9.4 ATF Pipes for ATF Cooler with Clamping Connections",
page 105 .
– Replace the O-rings and coat them with ATF.
– Remove the plug and insert the ATF pipes all the way into the
transmission.
– Tighten the bolts -1, 2 and 3-.

– Tighten the screw on the ATF pipe bracket to the right side of
the engine.
– Install the condenser -1- and ATF cooler -2-.
– Install the clips -arrow-.
