2.2 Multifunction Transmission Range
Switch - F125- , Removing, Installing
and Adjusting
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Pry Lever - 80-200-
♦ Engine Bung Set - VAS6122-
♦ Gauge - Multi Function Switch - T10173-
Removing
– Remove the rear noise insulation -2-. Refer to ⇒ Body Exte‐
rior; Rep. Gr. 66 ; Underbody Trim Panels .
– Move the selector lever into "P".
Note
Place a clean cloth under the separating point to catch the

escaping ATF.
The illustration shows the installation position with the drive‐
♦
shaft removed.
– Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and the ATF pipes from the trans‐
mission.
– Seal any open lines and connections with a clean plug from
the -VAS6122- .
– Bend the heat shield -arrow- slightly upward.
