– Remove the installation frame with the Multimedia System
Control Head - E380- -1-. Refer to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep. Gr.
68 .
– Disconnect the connector -1-.
– Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the Selector Lever
Sensor System Control Module - 587- together with the Tip‐
tronic Switch - F189- .
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. At the same time note the fol‐
lowing:
• Tightening specifications. Refer to
⇒ "2 Selector Mechanism", page 26
– Position the Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module -
J587- and Tiptronic Switch - F189- over the selector mecha‐
nism and tighten the bolts -arrows- to the tightening specifi‐
cation.
– Connect the connector -1- to the Selector Lever Sensor Sys‐
tem Control Module - J587- with Tiptronic Switch - F189- .
– Install the installation frame with the Multimedia System Con‐
trol Head - E380- -1-. Refer to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep. Gr. 68 .
– Install the handle on the selector lever. Refer to
⇒ "3.2 Selector Lever Handle, Removing and Installing", page
33 .
– Install the Selector Lever Transmission Range Position Dis‐
play Unit - Y26- . Refer to
