– Remove the four bolts -arrows-.
Note
The center console bracket is not shown in the illustration.
– Tip the gearshift mechanism function unit and remove the
center console bracket.
– Press and hold the parking lock button -C-.
– Pull the selector rod -B- up and move the selector lever in the
direction of -arrow- into "S".

♦ Ignore -A-.
Selector mechanism is shown from the front in the illustration.

– Lift the selector mechanism function unit.
Note
Do not bend or kink the selector lever cable.
– Remove the clamping nut -1- through the top opening in the
selector mechanism -arrow- using -T40031- .
