MECHANISM ADJUSTMENT
Protect yourself from radiation when you are checking the beam alignment. Since radiation
safety requirements vary from state to state and country to country it is the responsibility of
the installer to ensure that the correct precautions are observed.
WARNING
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE ROOM IN WHICH THE X-RAY IS INSTALLED AND
THE POSITION FROM WHICH THE USER OPERATES THE EQUIPMENT ARE COR-
RECTLY SHIELDED. SINCE RADIATION SAFETY REQUIREMENTS VARY FROM COUN-
TRY TO COUNTRY AND STATE TO STATE IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
INSTALLER TO ENSURE THAT ALL LOCAL SAFETY REGULATIONS ARE MET.
NOTE
During the adjustments write down the selected parameter values (e.g. the primary col-
limator position and width). After the panoramic beam and patient positioning mecha-
nism adjustment switch the X-ray unit off and on and then check that the new
parameter values are stored into the memory.
