From the list on the i500 display that appears select Patient support alignment (i580) .

First press the Take button on the Patient support alignment menu to take the Initial expo-
sure.

Now take an exposure the normal way as described in the Dimaxis Pro/Classic User´s Man-
ual (10006120), Chapter 5.2. "Taking a Panoramic exposure".
Click on the Gradient image button so that the image is shown so that the edges of all balls
is clearly seen.
Before you can measure the true distance between the balls, you have to define a reference
distance as follows:
Click the CAL button in the Toggle Measurement Toolbar and then draw a long horizontal
line to the image by clicking the start point, releasing the mouse button and clicking the end
point. The Reference distance window appears.
