VERSION
PURPOSE
This procedure provides instructions to clear an VERSION equipment alarm or event declared
against a VSC.
GENERAL
Refer to the 1677 SONET Link Address and Location Guide (PN 3EM13854AD) to determine facility
and module location and address.
STEP
PROCEDURE
VERSION indicates VSC module hardware version is below 03.

Observe output. Note AID of module in alarm.

Observe output. Note HWVER and PST.

Is HWVER less than 03?

Is primary state OOS?

Replace VSC with HWVER 03 or higher. Refer to DLP-141.

Observe output. Did VERSION alarm clear?
