sure card ejectors engage openings in tabs before pushing in card-ejector
handles.

CAUTION: Possibility of service interruption. Tighten all four thumbscrews to ensure the
card remains properly seated. However, to prevent thumbscrew damage, never tighten a
thumbscrew with a power screwdriver or more than .09 m-kg (8 in.-lbs).
Push in both card ejector handles to seat card in backplane connectors.

Tighten both thumbscrews.

Remove protective caps from fiber-optic cables removed in step 12, and reconnect them

to port adapters on card. See figure 131-4.
Always inspect and clean a fiber-optic cable and adapter before reconnecting them.
