Fan Faults (CLFAN, CTRLREAD, CTRLWRITE, INT)

PURPOSE
This procedure provides instructions to clear a fault indication for the fan-tray assembly.
GENERAL
The fan-controller card monitors the rotational speed of each fan. When all fans rotate at the correct
speed, the
light, on the common control card, is green to indicate the fan tray is working.
FAN
If one fan fails, the
FAN
72 hours to maintain n+1 protection.
If two or more fans fail, the
immediately to prevent the node from overheating.
CLFAN indicates failure of one or more fans in the fan tray.
CTRLREAD indicates fan controller read operation failure. CTRLWRITE indicates fan controller
write operation failure.
INT indicates unrecognized fan controller.
