N7500, N7500-ICP, or N7500-INM

Starting an N7500/ICP/INM

This procedure applies only to an N7500 with a monitor. An N7500/ICP
without a monitor will boot automatically after it is switched on.
1. Switch on the monitor, then the node. After a few seconds, this will be displayed:

. (If any files are corrupted because the system was not shut down

properly, error messages will be displayed. Press
3. You will be prompted:
Type Control-D to proceed with normal startup
(or give root password for system maintenance)
Press (simultaneously)
4. The current system date and time will be displayed. Press
played values, or enter the correct values, in the format:

If you only need to change the time, enter the hour and minute; to change the year,
month, or day, you must enter the entire string, including hour and minute.
5. Various messages will be displayed, ending with:

The software will start, and the monitor/Console will eventually display
(assuming the node is able to communicate with the network)
If you want to access the menus on an N7500-INM:
1. Press
