Starting an ICP

To shut down a Switch, power the node off.
To reboot a Switch:
1. Press
at the FRX8000 Test Menu
[C]
2. When asked:
Reboot?
This procedure applies only to an ICP with a VGA monitor. An ICP
without a monitor will boot automatically after it is switched on.
1. Switch on the VGA monitor, then the printer (if present), then the ICP. After a
few seconds, this will be displayed:

. (If any files are corrupted because the system was not shut down

properly, error messages will be displayed. Press
3. You will be prompted:
Type Control-D to proceed with normal startup
(or give root password for system maintenance)

4. The current system date and time will be displayed. Press
