If any FRX8000 Switches will run IPX, a network address must be configured in the
Network Defaults file, to identify the FRX8000 part of the internetwork. For each spe-
cific node that will run IPX, additional parameters must be configured in the Node file.

responding letter and, when prompted, entering the desired value.
IPX Router Name: 1–48
identifier for the IPX network. It must be unique within the network.
IPX Router Network Address: 1–fffffffe
address for the virtual LAN within the FRX8000.
IPX Gap Time: 0–255
second units, between consecutive RIP (Routing Information Protocol) and
SAP (Service Advertising Protocol) transmissions. This parameter provides
compatibility with older Novell servers.
