When Changes Take Effect at the Port
When you add a new Port record, it will be written to the database as soon as you enter
the final parameter value. When you modify a parameter in an existing record, the
change will be written to the database immediately.
The change will become effective at the port in one of the following ways:
Press
while still in Maintenance operations on the record. This will tempo-
[F7]
rarily disable the port, then write the change to the software running in the node.
Re-IPL the node containing the changed port.
