Stopping an ICP
Rebooting an ICP
Starting and Stopping Nodes and NMPS
The procedure described here requires an attached keyboard and monitor. If they are
not present, the node can be shut down only by switching it off.
If the following steps are not followed accurately, file corruption
can occur.
1. Press [C] at the FRX8000 Test Menu
2. When prompted:
Reboot (R to reboot, T to terminate)
3. At the [NETLINK ] prompt, type
4. At the
scosysv!login:
5. When asked for a password, type
6. At the prompt, type

7. After about a minute, you will be prompted:
to continue with the shutdown process.

8. Messages will be displayed, ending with:
** Safe to Power Off **

9. Switch the unit off.
To reboot an FRX8000 ICP:
1. Press at the FRX8000 Test Menu

2. When prompted: Reboot (R to reboot, T to terminate)
