Use the following procedure to replace the optional I/O expansion
board
(Figure
7–11).
Equipment Required:
I/O expansion board
Nut driver, 3/16-inch
Equipment Damage Some internal components can be damaged by
small amounts of static electricity. A properly grounded antistatic wrist
strap must be worn while handling any internal component.
1. Turn the instrument OFF, unplug the power cord, and remove the
cover.
2. Unplug the I/O expansion board cable from the EXPANSION BD
connector on the motherboard.
3. Remove the two standoffs holding the I/O expansion board
connector to the rear panel
4. Pop the board off of the mounting studs and remove the board.
5. To install the I/O expansion board, follow the previous steps in
reverse.
6. Calibrate the analog current outputs and analog voltage inputs as
defined earlier in this chapter.
