DTC42 SERIAL DATA CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION (BETWEEN IMMOBILIZER CONTROL
MODULE AND FUEL INJECTION PUMP)
DESCRIPTION
If ECU code is not transmitted from Fuel Injection Pump, Immobilizer Control Module sets DTC42.
INSPECTION:
STEP
1
Was "Immobilizer Diag. Flow Table" per-
formed?
2
1) Disconnect coupler at immobilizer con-
trol module.
2) Check voltage between coupler termi-
nal below and body ground with ignition
switch ON. See Fig.1.

Are they 10 – 14 V?

1) Disconnect fuel cut valve at coupler.
See Fig.2.
2) Check voltage between C64-2 terminal
and body ground with ignition switch
ON. See Fig.3.
Is it 10 – 14 V?

Is there continuity between C64-3 and
body ground?
See Fig.3.
