Power Off the Server Using the Server OS
If the server operating system (OS) is running, you can use its shutdown procedure to power off
the server to standby power mode. The procedure provides a graceful shutdown of the server.

Before You Begin
To power off the server, use the OS-specific shutdown procedure.

Verify that the server is in standby power mode.
When the server is in standby power mode, the SP indicator is on steady, and the Power OK
indicator blinks at the single blink rate (a quick flash every three seconds).
