IES Service Configuration Commands
The no form of this command disables the generation of icmp redirects on the router interface.
Default
redirects 100 10 - maximum of 100 redirect messages in 10 seconds

number — The maximum number of ICMP redirect messages to send. This parameter must be

Description
Configures the rate Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) TTL expired messages are issued by
the IP interface.
By default, generation of ICMP TTL expired messages is enabled at a maximum rate of 100 per 10
second time interval.
The no form of this command disables the limiting the rate of TTL expired messages on the router
interface.

seconds — The time frame in seconds used to limit the number of ICMP TTL expired messages that

Description
Enables/disables and configures the rate for ICMP host and network destination unreachable
messages issued on the router interface.
The unreachables command enables the generation of ICMP destination unreachables on the router
interface. The rate at which ICMP unreachables is issued can be controlled with the optional number

specified with the seconds parameter.
