11) Removing PTT Unit

1. Fully tilt up outboard motor and lock with tilt stopper 1.
Be sure to lock the outboard motor with
tilt stopper after tilting it up.
Outboard motor may tilt down accidentally
if hydraulic pressure in the PTT unit drops
for some reason.
If PTT unit does not operate (electrically),
loosen manual valve 2 and tilt up the
outboard motor manually.
If manual valve 2 is loosened, tighten it to
specified torque after tilting up the
outboard motor.
Manual Valve 2 :
3 N · m (2 lb · ft) [0.3 kgf · m]
