Section 11 Inspection of Lighting System
(II) If headlight is out
1. Bulb and socket
• Check if the bulb and socket are correct
PASS
2. Voltage
• Connect the pocket tester (DC 20V) to the
headlight
A
Multimeter (+) - green terminal (1) or yel-
low terminal (2)
Multimeter (-) - black terminal (3)
[A] When switch is in "LOW" position
[B] When switch is in "HI" position
• Turn main switch to "ON" position
•Turn lamp switch to "LOW" or "HI" position
• Check the voltage of green and yellow wires
in coupler of bulb socket
PASS
No failure on this circuit
B
No electricity
Replace bulb and socket
Out of specification
If there is failure on the cicuit from main
switch to bulb socket coupler, repair it
