Section 10 Troubleshooting
If the headlight or taillight is out
Check:
1. Safety
2. Battery
3. Main switch
• Remove the following parts before starting
troublingshooting maintenance
1) Cushion
2) Front luggage carrier
3) Front covering parts
•Use special tools for troubleshooting
1. Safety
Refer to "Inspection of switch"
PASS
2. Battery
• Check the condition of battery
Refer to "Inspection of battery" in chapter 3
Voltage of open circuit
12.8V or more at 20˚C (68˚F)
PASS
3. Main switch
Refer to "Inspection of switch"
PASS
4. Lamp switch
5. Coupling of wires
(entire lighing system)
No electricity
Replace fuse
FAIL
• Clean terminal of battery
• Recharge or replace the battery
FAIL
Replace main switch
