Section 9 Battery will not hold charge
Check:
1. Safety
2. Battery
3. Charging voltage
• Remove parts before maintenance
1) Cushion
• Repair with special tools

Refer to "Inspection of switch"
PASS
2. Battery
• Check the condition of battery
Refer to "Inspection of battery" in chapter 3
Voltage:
12.8V or more at 20˚C (68˚F)
PASS
3. Charging voltage
• Connect engine tachometer to the wire to
spark plug
• Connect pocket tester (DC 20V) to the battery
Pocket multimeter (+) - white terminal
Pocket multimeter (-) - white terminal
4. Stator coil
5. Coupling of circuit
(entire charging system)
Coil techometer
Engine tachometer
Pocket multimeter
No electricity
Replace the safety
FAIL
• Clean the battery terminal
• Recharge or replace battery
