Commands for Accessing the Switch

configure dns-client default-domain

configure dns-client default-domain <domain_name>
Description
Configures the domain that the DNS client uses if a fully qualified domain name is not entered.
Syntax Description
domain_name
Specifies a default domain name.
Default
N/A.
Usage Guidelines
The default domain name will be used to create a fully qualified host name when a domain name is not
specified. For example, if the default domain name is set to "
" then when a command like
food.com
"
" is entered, the ping will actually be executed as "
".
ping dog
ping dog.food.com
Example
The following command configures the default domain name for the server:
configure dns-client default-domain xyz_inc.com
