ExtremeWare XOS 11.5 supports only the Summit X450 family of switches and the BlackDiamond 8800 series switch.
FDB Commands

enable flooding port

enable flooding [all_cast | broadcast | multicast | unicast] port
[<port_list> | all]
Description
Enables egress flooding on one or more ports. With the BlackDiamond 8800 series switch and the
Summit X450 family of switches, you can further identify the type of packets to flood on the specified
ports. With the BlackDiamond 10808 and 12804 switch, you can flood only all packets or no packets.

Enabled for all packet types.
Usage Guidelines
Use this command to re-enable egress flooding that you previously disabled using the
flooding port
The following guidelines apply to enabling and disabling egress flooding:
Disabling multicasting egress flooding does not affect those packets within an IGMP membership

group at all; those packets are still forwarded out. If IGMP snooping is disabled, multicast packets
are not flooded.
Egress flooding can be disabled on ports that are in a load-sharing group. If that is the situation, the
●
ports in the group take on the egress flooding state of the master port; each member port of the load-
sharing group has the same state as the master port.
FDB learning is independent of egress flooding. FDB learning and egress flooding can be enabled or
●
disabled independently.

Specifies enabling egress flooding for all packets on specified ports.
Specifies enabling egress flooding only for broadcast packets.
NOTE: This parameter is available only on the BlackDiamond 8800 series
switch and the Summit X450 family of switches.
Specifies enabling egress flooding only for multicast packets.
